How we Design your Backyard
We begin every project with discovery, not a catalog. Our process starts by reviewing your property survey and city records, then walking your property to hear your vision and design around how you live. From there, ideas become blueprints — refined and finalized construction documents built to industry best practices and city-specific engineering, with dimensions, materials and elevation drawings unique to your lot. Before we break ground, every detail is finalized: permits are in place, HOA approvals are in hand, and our thorough preparation is what makes construction feel fast.

Do I have to design and build the whole project at once?
No. We design the full vision up front so every element works together, then you can decide whether to build it in one phase or spread it out over time.
Can you design around a pool I already have, or does everything need to be new?
We can design around an existing pool as the anchor for the rest of the space, or start from scratch if you’re planning a full rebuild. Either way, the goal is a space where everything works together.
What's actually included in “outdoor living design” beyond the pool?
Sports courts, outdoor kitchens, fire and water features, lighting, sunken lounge areas, fireplaces, and front yard design are all part of it. Which features make sense depends on your property and how you want to use it.
How is pricing structured for a project with this many features?
You’ll get one coordinated design and estimate covering everything you want included, so you can see the full picture and adjust scope before committing.
How long does a full backyard transformation take?
Longer than a pool-only project, since there are more elements to design, permit, and build — but the process follows the same discovery-to-construction path. You’ll get a specific timeline once your design and scope of work is finalized.
Can I add features later that weren't part of the original design?
In many cases, yes, especially if space and utilities were planned for it during the original design. It’s worth mentioning anything you might want down the line during discovery, even if you’re not ready to build it yet.
