How do I know if I need a full renovation or just resurfacing?
It depends on what’s actually wrong. Surface issues — fading, roughness, staining — usually just need resurfacing. Structural cracks, persistent leaks, or aging equipment often call for something more involved. We’ll give you an honest read during discovery, not just the answer that costs more.
How long does a pool remodel take?
Resurfacing alone can move quickly. A full renovation involving reshaping, replumbing, or new decking takes longer. You’ll get a specific timeline once we’ve scoped your project.
Will my pool be out of commission during the remodel?
Yes, for at least part of the project — most remodels require draining. How long depends on scope. We’ll walk you through expected downtime during design, so it’s never a surprise.
How much does a pool remodel cost?
It depends entirely on scope — a resurfacing job and a full renovation aren’t priced the same way.
Do you handle permits for remodels too, or just new builds?
Yes. Permits are secured where needed and HOA approval is handled during pre-construction, the same as on a new build.
Can I upgrade my equipment — pumps, heaters, automation — as part of a remodel?
Yes, and it’s one of the most common additions to a remodel. It’s a good opportunity to move to more efficient, easier-to-maintain systems while everything else is already being updated.
My pool has cracking. Is that a normal part of a remodel, or something bigger?
It depends on the type of cracking. Some is cosmetic and gets addressed during resurfacing. Persistent or spreading cracks can be a sign of a structural issue like ASR (“concrete cancer”), which we evaluate separately before recommending a fix.
